IMAGINATION LIBRARY
Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent children's book gifting program in the world. The Imagination Library is the flagship program of the Dollywood Foundation and has mailed over 170 million free books to children in the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.4 million free books to registered children from birth to age five every month.
Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library in 1995 for the children within her home county. The impact of the program has been widely researched and results show positive increases in key early childhood literacy metrics. Penguin Random House is the exclusive publisher for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
